I'm coming off of a much-needed vacation (currently unpacking, whoo hoo... 🥴), but I wanted to drop by really quickly and deliver some exciting news about one of my favorite VN series: Our Life!
That's right~ In the upcoming Our Life: Now & Forever, you get the chance to be in a relationship with both Qiu and Tamarack. Here are the details:
Initially, a polyam route wasn't in the cards, because of time concerns. However, while writing the Step 2 preview, our lovely dev came to the conclusion that the story of the Golden Grove cul de sac just wouldn't be complete without it; especially because the ultra-customization of even relationship dynamics is a huge part of what makes Our Life what it is.
The optional poly relationship won't be a complete triangle, however. The MC will be able to be in a romantic (or platonic) relationship with Autumn and Tam, but the two LIs will only be able to be platonic with one another. The relationship will also only be available during adulthood (Step 4) because the adolescent years will be a period of sorting out the relationship the LIs have with each other.
That being said, this is still a really exciting development; especially because GB Patch has stated that it won't affect current plans—including the launch of a Kickstarter campaign in the coming weeks.
If all goes well, we can expect to see Our Life's autumnal second installment (and most DLCS) in late 2025. It seems like a long time, but this little game is packed with customization and cozy nostalgic story telling that'll make it well worth the wait!
